Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an energetic group of Special Education and Regular Education 4th graders in an inclusion classroom who are inquisitive and eager to learn. We are part of a project based learning school that encourages students to make a difference, think outside the box, collaborate, and create. We work on projects throughout the year that allow students to stand up and make a difference in the community. Some of these projects have to do with the environment and the land around us.

We have a school garden and I would love to help with a student gardening club and supply some of our students with tools to keep our garden thriving.

My students can spend some time working in the garden with their tools and also have carts to keep our gardening tools and seeds organized. The food in the garden is used in school as well as sent home to some of our families in need.
