Gardening Kindergartners

Help me give the ability to show my students what gardening is and show them the difference it makes to grow their own vegetables verses buying it in stores. Working in a garden/outside is good therapy. Hydroponic growing is different from gardening.

My Project

Learning to garden takes patience and hard work. Especially when you aren't familiar with it. Growing their own vegetables will be rewarding in the end.

My kindergartners need proper tools and storage to keep all the supplies in a safe place.

Safety is a top priority. With proper tools and a safe place to store is important. We need a storage shed, hydroponic buckets for plants, gardening tools and seeds.

They will also learn another type of gardening by growing vegetables in a hydroponic system. Learning different ways to grow their own vegetables will be exciting for them as well as learning new things.

We have started growing beans in a ziploc bag our classroom. They are so excited to see it growing each day in the window.
