Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our world of constant connectivity, the prevalence of electronics has undoubtedly brought numerous benefits, yet it has also posed challenges, especially for our students' social development. Our classroom which serves middle schoolers with intellectual disabilities and/or autism aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals by encouraging healthy social interaction among our students.

To this end, we are seeking your support to introduce a unique initiative - the revival of classic, non-electronic board games.

We believe that by reintroducing games like Hungry Hippos, Solitaire, and others from the pre-digital era, we can facilitate invaluable opportunities for our students to enhance their social skills. These games will be integrated into designated times such as before school/homeroom, center rotations on special days, lunch breaks, and as rewards for positive behavior and academic achievements.

Together, let's bring back the joy of old-school gaming!
