My Students
My students have autism and depend on structured schedules. Being thrown into remote learning and no longer seeing familiar faces has made a great impact in many ways. At school, we work with all kinds of manipulatives and hands-on projects. Most of the homes do not have access to the necessary material to succeed.
I would like for them to have some sort of normalcy with the materials we use on a daily basis.
Knowing that they have everything they need will make me so grateful and happy.
My Project
This project is meant to be double fold. It will help my students build communication and social skills and it will also help them have some amazing fun while at home with their families. At school, we often have days full of board games. My students who a very limited verbal often surprise us when they say sentences out of the excitement of the game. I want them to continue practicing these skills at home. Your donation will help foster these important skills that for many may seem minuscule but for my class it is huge!
