Students were able to make personalized crafts, participate in classroom business-style activities, and begin understanding how creativity can connect to entrepreneurship and future job skills. Many of my students thrive when learning is hands-on and connected to real-life experiences, and this project allowed them to do exactly that.\r\nThe confidence, excitement, and independence my students demonstrated throughout these activities were truly amazing to witness. I teach young adults with autism and special needs, many of whom learn best through hands-on, real-world experiences that help prepare them for adulthood and independence. Because of your generosity, my students were able to participate in meaningful self-care, hygiene, communication, and vocational activities through our classroom mini nail salon experience.\r\nThe excitement on my students' faces when they first saw the materials was unforgettable. Many of them immediately began choosing colors, practicing communication skills, organizing supplies, and interacting with one another in ways that built confidence and independence. Activities that may seem small to others became huge moments for my students. Practicing taking turns, making choices, greeting others, following hygiene routines, and engaging in salon-style role play helped strengthen social, communication, and daily living skills in a fun and motivating environment.\r\nThis project also helped create opportunities for community readiness and vocational exploration.
