This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are requesting a variety of board games and card games for our game club. There are many students who enthusiastically participate in our game club each week. As students have fun playing games, they also learn life lessons in learning rules, strategies, cooperation, competition, and problem-solving.

The games on this list are award winning games, strategy games, and classic games.

Several of these games have been requested by students.

Playing board games might not be something every student has the opportunity to participate in due to parents' work schedules, lack of games at home, or preference for technology. Participation with peers in the game club promotes problem-solving, both individually and as part of a team, while also developing social skills and fostering collaboration all while being “unplugged” from technology. Games provide genuine hands-on learning experiences, where students learn about fair play, values, and develop positive relationships with others.
