Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students work hard and they try their best. Many of my students go home and speak a different language with their parents. Some speak Spanish, Mandarin or Korean at home. We celebrate the language they speak and their traditions so that they know they are special and that we care about them. I am thrilled that I work along side many teachers that care deeply about our school community and always put student needs first.
My Project
I can't wait to surprise my students with this GLOW in the dark Jenga Game and bracelets so that we can experience GLOW in the DARK FRIDAY FUN.
This the light-up Jenga tower will be the showstopper game of Glow in the Dark Friday Fun and the light-up-glow-in-the-dark bracelets will be a reward that my students will wear during Friday Fun and then take home.
My students will be able to play with the Magnetic Marble Maze too. They will affix to the parts of the Marble Maze to whiteboard and create mazes in which the marbles drop, turn and fall. It will be so exciting to see the designs they make. Our GLOW in the DARK Friday Fun will be so much fun!
Our school uses Positive Behavior Intervention Supports to encourage our students to have expected classroom behaviors. Having glow-in-the-dark bracelets and exciting Friday FUN games is a wonderful classroom reward. My students will earn the glow-in-the-dark bracelets with their decisions to have expected classroom behavior.
I praise their good behavior and they feel good about themselves. The praise I give them improves their self-confidence and they feel good about the decisions they are making. In turn, they continue to make good choices. They will be super excited about Reward Time during Friday Fun! The rewards they earn for their good decisions make them feel special and getting this super cool glow-in-the-dark bracelets will make them happy.
I can't wait for them to go home and tell their family and friends about our GLOW in the DARK Friday Fun and talk about our Light Up Jenga and cool Magnetic Marble Maze! Thank you for supporting my fundraiser and thank you for caring about my students.
