My Students

Small, but mighty! Our school is located in a rural area, and most of our students come from low-income families.

My students deserve the best!

They are hardworking, talented individuals who have the skills and the mindset to do great things.

I am the school's elementary music teacher and teach all students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade as well as instrumental lessons. My students have a lot of talent and a lot of motivation, and it is my goal to create an environment that allows them to be creative thinkers. My classes are very hands-on and team-driven, and I want to do whatever it takes to give them the resources that they need.

My Project

My 4th graders need the Gameplan Music Curriculum in order to have a concrete plan of musical skills that they need to be learning throughout the year. This specific curriculum is set up with lesson plans for each week, and focuses on the Orff Technique of playing. This curriculum will include a book contain lesson plans for the entire year, as well as charts and visuals to be used along with the lessons. Students will gain a larger understanding of all musical concepts, while working as an ensemble to sing, play, interpret, analyze, study, sight-read and gain a deep understand of music.
