This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Students

My students are special for they do not allow their circumstances to be an excuse for not being successful.

Each one of my students is either from a single parent home or lives at or below the poverty line.

PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

GOAL 1. To provide more education on heart disease and related risks to cardiovascular health, and identify individuals at-risk for heart disease.

OBJECTIVE 1. Over the next two years, four health fairs, coronary risk screenings and other onsite education on topics related to heart disease (hypertension, tobacco use, diet, and exercise) will reach 250 residents.

GOAL 2. To provide activities designed to curtail the risk for heart disease.

OBJECTIVE 2. A range of exercise programs such as aerobics, running, walking, and will be provided over the next two years.

GOAL 3. To assist individuals in developing a plan for a healthy lifestyle.

OBJECTIVE 3. An outreach/resource staff person will serve students in the athletic over the next two years, providing follow-up education and developing an individualized plan to prevent heart disease and reduce hypertension.

My Project

Game On.

My Physical Education students need to get more Cardiovascular Exercise.

Cardiovascular Exercise is the number one exercise need of this Sedentary Generation. The most current research and data agree.

The key to get our Students up and moving is to provide fun, exciting small group exercise that provide outstanding Cardiovascular benefits.

Our Students will positively love these new games.

The Indoor Hockey and the Indoor Soccer Games will consist of (4) man teams which will insure great cardiovascular conditioning in competitive fast moving games.

The four Basketball will allow for a (3) Point Shoot Out Tournament with one Team being crowned as Champions.
