Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I've introduced a couple of games into our classroom which the students are loving. I would love to provide a variety of different games/puzzles for my students. The idea is to start our version of a "family game night" at school.

According to Diane Ackeman, "Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning." Games can be educational, reinforcing content skills while having fun!

Many games boost students' language skills, vocabulary skills, problem-solving skills, social skills and provide many more benefits. When playing games, students become more engaged in their learning and class positivity is increased. In addition, the "game night" is a great class/team building opportunity. This promotes a safe learning environment while increasing overall motivation.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
