'Game' Changing Tools for Learning

My Students

My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with the majority of my students receiving free lunch, and many in need of things like backpacks, shoes, and uniforms.

Yet, every day these students come to school with a smile, ready to learn.

As a teacher, I try to provide them with all that I can, but I am reaching out for additional support! This is my first year teaching, therefore my classroom supplies are quite limited, and does not meet the needs of my students.

My Project

For this project, I have selected a variety of supplies that will benefit my students' learning. The dry erase boards, dry erase blocks and dots, and answer buzzers will be utilized during my lessons to make them more engaging. The dry erase blocks will also better track my students' answers and cut down on the amount of paper we use in class. The dry erase dots will be applied to my small group table so that students may write and erase their answers, also reducing the amount of paper. The Choices In a Jar will be used in our morning meetings and frequent brain breaks. Finally, the X-ACTO electric pencil sharper will be used quite frequently in class; someone always needs a pencil sharpened!

I am requesting these additional supplies in hopes of encouraging my students to become more engaged in their learning!
