Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year, I will be teaching science for a second year and I need more hands-on materials to assist my students. The students I will be working with this year are all in a self-contained specialized classes with classifications of autism spectrum disorder, students with emotional needs and intellectual disabilities.

The Lakeshore science instant learning centers will give my students the hands-on opportunity to learn and achieve their science goals.

Each of these centers will introduce them to bugs and insects, plants, magnets, animals , nutrition and life cycles. These centers will include both pictures and written materials for my diverse learners. These centers also encourage students to work more independently.

I also included other hands-on kits that deal with matter (meet the standards habitat kit) and animal habitats (meet the standards habitat kit).
