Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This will be my first year with these students. It's a brand new school and is the only dual language school in the District. I anticipate a wonderful group of diverse students who are coming in to learn to read and write in both Spanish and English.
My job as a PE Coach, will be to motivate the students, to get their bodies moving, to have fun with games, and to learn sportsmanship in addition to allowing them to take control of their learning and to discover things about themselves that they didn't know possible.
I have some items coming later, but right now they are behind. I just need a few things to get the ball rolling until the rest of the equipment comes.
My Project
Having good PE equipment is necessary for the students success on the playground and in their regular classrooms. By keep the students engaged during PE, they can be focused once they go back into their core classrooms.
PE is all about being successful, but students can be successful in PE when they feel successful and are able to do more than what they can imagine.
Having this equipment will be beneficial for their mind, body and spirit. They will be building foundational movements and will learn cooperation while doing them.
