Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have dreams of becoming medical professionals and I want to do everything in my power to help them achieve their dreams. For many, they will be the first in their families to achieve professional certifications or licensure.

The sense of pride my students receive when they successfully earn their certifications is a beautiful sight, and I want to continue giving my students the chance to work in the health industry.

Despite the challenges Covid has brought to healthcare, my students are determined to be a part of this industry.

My Project

The majority of my students are from lower-income families, but they all dream of making a difference and caring for others in the future. For many of them, earning their Nursing Assistant certification will propel them into good-paying jobs and possibly college. Many of my students work after school and on weekends to help their families. Earning a healthcare certification can allow them to finally dream of a life they want.

My students have entered the CNA program because they want to take care of others and having a real hospital bed where they can practice skills will make all the difference in their learning.
