Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students come from a variety of different ethnic backgrounds and live in a densely populated working class community. All of our students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch program. Our school serves students in grades 2nd-5th and provides not only a safe environment for our students but fantastic teachers that encourage our students to dream about becoming trailblazers!
As a Title I school our students come from multilingual homes with diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Our students are eager to become the first ones in their family to attend college, the first ones in their family to work in 21st century media careers, and see themselves as the future leaders of not only their community but the world!
My Project
At our school teachers are working at creating a media-robotics lab! All students at our school would have access to the equipment in the media-robotics lab and would enable students to create their own iMovies, photography sessions, learn robotics, and robotics programming .
By donating to our project you will be not only be supporting our 2nd-5th grade students develop their media/technology skills but you will provide access to the equipment they need to develop their media,photography and robotic inspiring projects!
Our students need that opportunity to use media equipment and have hands-on experiences with directing their own media projects. Our students are eager to learn about robotics and become robotic programmers at all capacities!
