Welcome to our Kindergarten family. We are a diverse group of eager explorers. We speak six different languages, with many learning English this year. We come from many different places but have so much in common.
We live in a small island community but are learning to be excellent global citizens.
We are very curious about the world around us. We love to work together to solve problems and learn new things. We know that hard work and perseverance will help us reach our goals.
My Project
These hands on manipulative math materials will help students build a concrete understanding of number sense. Students will be able to move objects to count and match them to the number symbol. Students will be able to practice joining objects together and taking a set of objects apart. The engaging materials will allow students to begin adding and subtracting in a fun, enjoyable way.
Students will appreciate how important math skills are to daily life as we begin to apply what we learn.
Students that build a strong foundation of numbers and number patterns enjoy math and feel confident in problem solving. I want all students to love math and see how important and exciting it can be.
