My Students

My students are creative, full of questions, and love reading! I have a 4th grade class and more than half my class is reading at grade level or a few grade levels above. Engaging novels is important to spark the love of reading for my students! They love challenges like projects and hands on activities. The students come to school ready to be active participants in order to grow academically and personally! They are wonderful students and will grow up to be great human beings!

My Project

These materials will help my students become better writers. They will be able to learn the writing process to create a book. They will make corrections on their writing and the writing of peers to help each other. They will learn different types of writing genres that will help them meet the academic standards for the school year and prepare them for the following school year. By the end of the year, they will be able to publish their work into a writing book that will showcase all their hard work and their growth in writing and learning the writing process. These materials will help to create the final book project. This will help all the students in my class learn the basics of writing from grammar to sentence structure.
