My Students

I love how inventive and creative my students are. They have the unique ability to surprise me everyday. This is not only in the way they act, but in the way they learn and how they are able to find different ways to solve problems than you could ever imagine.

Integrating technology will be a great way to ensure that my students are successful and are able to allow their creativity to shine!

I find great joy in seeing the products that my students are able to create. With the added technology in my room, some are going to be able to shine brighter than ever.

My Project

What an opportunity for a real-life project experience. During this project, students get to have an architect as a guest speaker. After they have learned what an architect does and how he uses rotations, transformations, translations, and reflections to develop a floor plan, students will use their Chromebooks to complete a floor plan of their dream school, home, apartment complex, hotel, etc.

Students love to create their floor plans in PowerPoint because they are able to complete the geometry objectives in a way that allows their floor plans to be successful.

This project opens the eyes of students and allows them to see how much math affects jobs and sometimes students find an interest in a job they had no idea existed.
