Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students love learning new information and skills. They are eager to come to school each day with smiles on their faces. They enjoy having opportunities to share their knowledge and newly acquired skills with others.

My school is Title I, which means that most of the student population is considered economically disadvantaged.

Our students face many challenges. However, we are committed to making sure that every student has the resources needed to be successful at school and home.

My Project

Students will design, create, and build structures using the LEGO blocks, while utilizing teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Future architects and engineers will answer many questions including:

Can you design a tower that is taller than you? How can you make it more stable? What strategies did you use?

Can you create a simple machine? What laws of force and motion are you utilizing? How can the machine make work easier?

By having the bulk set of LEGO Duplo blocks and the Simple Machine set of LEGOs, students will be able to answer questions, find solutions to problems, and work together as a team while building a maker mentality.
