Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our second grade class is a family of 25 energetic inquirers! My students attend a Chicago Public School, who come from diverse, multicultural backgrounds. We love to be reflective and open-minded about the world around us!
We work hard every day to build our learning of the world around us, and challenge ourselves with new learning experiences.
My classroom has students ranging in abilities, as well as students from bilingual backgrounds. Our IB curriculum best supports their learning through student inquiries, explorations, and problem-based learning.
I am so proud and lucky to be a teacher for such hard-working and caring students!
My Project
In our second grade class, we are very limited to technology. Utilizing iPads will allow us to have the ability to learn with technology.
As students get older, technology will be incorporated more into their learning.
That is why it is important to have them begin using it in the earlier stages of life to help them learn. By using tech in the classroom, students have the freedom to read, solve math problems, and research topics for projects all at their fingertips!
iPads will bring more technological advances into my classroom that will be both stimulating for their learning as well as engaging for the whole class.
