Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students reside in a small country town where dreams are endless, and the possibilities are attainable with motivation and support. The school district is considered to be Title I, which means that 40% of the students or more reside in low-income families. Every student at the school receives free breakfast and lunch. There is a very large migrant population and many of the families have been hit by the pandemic which has greatly affected the families income and their lives overall. All of my students are diverse learners who come from various backgrounds but have one goal, and that is to succeed despite the odds and statistics against them. Your help will make a difference in their lives for years to come.

My Project

These headphones will allow my students to have the resources to hear their assigned lessons with clarity and safely. With each student being assigned their own set of headphones, this will minimize the exchange of resources in a time where COVID-19 is rampant.

My students live in a Title I district and don't always have the necessities such as pencils and other supplies needed to be successful in completing their assignments.

Many of the students are unable to complete their assignments because they don't have the proper items to complete them. Having pencils and a dispenser will allow them to complete their assignments in a timely manner.

Lastly the supplies will allow my students to organize their headphones and the disinfectant wipes will allow to them to be able to disinfect their headphones and their desks. This will allow them to thrive and take their learning to the next level
