Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school's vision is to help students become global citizens. My goal as a teacher is for my students to become game-changers and make a difference in the world. Our school aims to prepare our students to be career and college ready.
Many of my students are English Language Learners.
Our community is low-income, but I believe that they should have all the resources they need to succeed! Many of my students come into the classroom without the supplies they need and without access to the supplies they wish to obtain. It will make our lives easier to have these supplies in the classroom so that we can get to learning faster!
My Project
After almost a year and a half doing distance learning, my classroom is lacking in some resources to truly make class engaging and fun. With the school year 2021-2022 being fully in person, the students and I are so excited to finally do projects in person and use our hands and physical materials. These materials will allow my students to create awesome projects in social studies!
Some of the books included in the list will help my students engage in reading and learning.
My students love to take books home so I would love to provide my students with new books in my classroom library to fuel their learning and enjoyment!
Lastly, the TPT gift card will allow me to purchase resources to update my lessons and create activities that will engage my students!
