Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are six or seven years old.

My first graders are naturally curious and they have a love for learning.

They are warm-hearted, and will brighten your day when you are having the worst day. They greet you with smiles and eyes full of wonder. The children are of Hispanic descent. The majority of them are English language learners. They attend a school located in a high poverty area. All students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

My first grade students will benefit from these materials in numerous ways. These materials will be used to organize materials along with functional tools to complete tasks. The stikki clips will be used for our calendar set as we manipulate the cards to set up for the day.

These materials will enhance our classroom environment by making it functional and organized.

Students will have options to use many work areas and the clipboards will allow them to get the work done. The poly envelopes will replace the ziploc bags that were used for books bags. This will be a sturdier option as students take home leveled readers.
