Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My self-contained classroom includes eleventh and twelfth-grade students with mild intellectual disabilities.
In addition to their daily academic schedule, my students work each day on daily life skills as well as increasing their social skills with their peers as well as their community members.
This year, I would like to add a Game Center area during their study hall period.
These donated items will help our students increase their social and daily life skills through positive interactions with one another through a variety of board games.
