Wobble chairs, which are a type of flexible seating, will encourage my students to find the best seat for them to stay focused and productive throughout the day. My kids work in many areas around the room during math and language arts literacy time, and wobble chairs would provide comfortable spaces for them, especially for those who are able to better concentrate while moving. It has been said that comfortable students are engaged students, and I believe this is true! My class will be given the opportunity to make choices to change locations and positions as needed. They will have the freedom of movement to best suit their needs. Flexible seating encourages a sense of community by supporting children in their ability to share space and take turns. Collaboration becomes second nature when students are easily able to pair up and work in small groups, due to the seating arrangements. Wobble chairs help make learning fun!
