Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education teacher. I work with students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade, with a range of disabilities. My students love to come to school and learn. It can become a challenge to keep their engagement and making all lessons fun. They want to share out their thoughts, ideas, and answers but struggle with speaking at a speakers voice or they all want to speak out at the same time.

My students love to communicate and share out their answers with the class.

My goal for this project is to give my students a device that will let them share their voice with the class and increase classroom engagement. I have students who are shy to speak loudly in class, thus, this will provide them the voice. This device will also show them when to speak, when they have the device in their hand.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
