My Students

Hello! My students are on the outskirts of Chattanooga, TN. The school is a Title I school with a large diversity of students. The students in the school come from a variety of different backgrounds, and are all unique.

My goal is for all students, regardless of differences, to have their needs met, feel welcomed/loved, and have the best opportunities for learning.

My Project

K-2 are foundational grades that teaches children the necessary knowledge to read and write. In first grade, we work hard on our phonics skills. This includes decoding(taping out), encoding(writing), phonemes(sounds), and graphemes(letters).

Multi-sensory learning in proven to be an effective practice to help students learn.

On this project, I am requesting stamps, ink, phonic games, and whisper phones to help students with their phonic skills. The students will use these materials daily during our center work for extra practice. This will reinforce what the children learn while at the teacher table. You’re donation will provide them with the foundation of reading that will follow them for their lifetime!
