This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a large class of second language learners from all over the world. My students are learning English. I am asking for fun engaging robust manipulatives to be used in the classroom during small group rotations and teacher small group instruction. During reading time students can use their whisper phones to hear their voices while they are reading. They would use this to build on their English reading and language arts fluency. Students would love to hear their voices in English.

I am also asking for snap together letter blocks.

We would use these in small group rotation. Students would create simple CVC words to gain their understanding of the English language. I would use picture cards to help them create their words. I laminate constantly so students have a wide variety of activities that stay durable.

Additionally, I am asking for playdoh. This is a wonderful resources so students can use their tactile skills to create words. Students are always engaged it makes learning feel like play. I have very young students in my class and these products would really be beneficial to my class.
