My students need fun review resources to make mathematics come to life in the classroom! These include "The Cartoon Guide to Calculus" and "The Manga Guide to Physics."
This project expired on July 1, 2014.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Wouldn't math be more fun if instead of a boring diagram, an exciting and colorful cartoon was being analyzed? These resources make that happen!
Over 95% of the students at my school qualify for free or fee-reduced lunch.
Our community is poor, and violence is too common. My school serves as a beacon of hope to students and families. My students seek success, and have recognized it over and over in their lives! They do whatever is required to find a brighter future, and they earnestly want to advocate for their community and bring about positive change.
These books will help my students find more fun in math and science! They will not only help my students review conceptual ideas, but also serve as starting points for new units. We will be able to analyze what is going on in a comic book, while making mathematical conjectures and conclusions.
This project is so important because it gives resources to students who earnestly need them.
It will help students of upper division mathematics make sense of difficult concepts. Thank you for your support!
