Creative, curious, fun, energetic, and absolutely amazing; these are just a few words that describe my kindergartners! Our school is located in one of the areas majorly affected by Hurricane Florence. Many of the students in our school suffered great damage due to the flood waters from Hurricane Florence.
Despite the many challenges my students have faced, they continue to keep a positive attitude and have adjusted well!
They enter the classroom each day eager to learn. What a pleasure it is to know that what they learn this first year in kindergarten will be built upon the rest of their lives!
I teach my students using mini lessons followed by small group, hands on activities in stations that support the lesson taught. The materials requested will help me to reinforce skills taught in our daily phonics lessons.
My kindergartners get so excited when presented with hands on games and fun activities, that they don't even realize how much they are learning!
The Osmo Little Genius Kit attaches to an iPad and allows students to build letters using manipulatives on the table; combining two of their favorite activities- iPad games and hands on manipulatives. The other various games will give children fun experiences with letters, sounds, as well as CVC words during literacy stations.
