Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching kindergarten for 21 years. I teach at a Title I school where a lot of students receive a reduced-price or free lunch. Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are several different languages spoken at my school. Many of the students are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. I have 26 kindergarten students this school year.

My kindergarten students are eager and excited to come to school every day.

They are ready to learn, play, and make new friends! Some of my students do not have access to learning materials at home. I would like to make sure they receive many opportunities while at school.

My Project

My kindergarten students are happy to come to school in person. I would like to make learning more fun and engaging experience for my students!

We will use these pop-its during our literacy and math centers.

We will use the letter pop-its to identify letters and create words.

Also, we will use the number pop-it to learn to identify and count numbers.

My students will enjoy using the punches to punch different shapes to create their own arts and crafts. These punches will help them to improve their fine motor skills too!
