Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I would like to give my kiddos the opportunity to come to school in the morning and socialize after breakfast. That's why I would like to introduce morning bins focused on STEM. After they eat, students will have the opportunity to work together using the STEM bins provided, before we dive into paper and pencil learning. The new shelves would also provide a place to put the STEM bins.

I would also like to provide prizes for them to choose from when they make the right choices in class.

Sometimes it's hard to make the right choice, especially when some of the people around you aren't. I would like to have prizes to reward students who always follow directions and provide an incentive for students who struggle with making good choices.

I've recently become of fan of Elephant and Piggie books. I would like to introduce my students to Elephant and Biggie books so that they can have the opportunity to enjoy the characters as much as I do.
