My Project

Recess provides a much-needed break (for students and teachers). It helps manage stress, promotes social skills, and allows for physical exercise. It also helps with creativity, and builds skills like cooperation, sharing, and problem-solving.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says recess is essential to children’s health and development.

It provides a much-needed break from the structure of a classroom, which leads to many cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits. It improves children’s memory and attention, helps them to stay focused in class, reduces disruptive behavior, and improves their social skills.

With your help, my students will have access to jump ropes, kick balls, catch-and-toss games as well as an assortment of balls and necessary equipment to help support unstructured recess play.
