My students need a sand box with sun shade cover for our small playground.

"Play is often talked about as a relief from serious learning. For children, play is serious learning." - Mr. Rogers
My class consists of 16 four-year-olds who love life!
We are in a very small, poverty stricken community. Our school district is one building for kindergarten through 12th grade. In order for my preschoolers to access anything in the school, we have to walk outside to get to the school. We believe in play based learning in our classroom.
"Play in the dirt, because life is too short to have clean fingernails." As you can see in our picture, my kids LOVE dirt!
My preschool class was recently moved to a new building away from the school. This being said, we are rebuilding our own small playground. We were not able to bring our sandbox with us on the move. Our kids really miss the sand box. We bring sand into the classroom for our sand table but it is not the same as sitting in the sand and digging holes or making sand castles around you.
We recently raised money to expand our fenced in playground area so now we have a big open space that would be perfect for this large sandbox.
Our new playground is free of trees which means it is also free of shade. We need the covered sandbox so our little ones can enjoy the sandbox without burning in the sun.
