Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I school, and it is full of curious and enthusiastic learners. It is important that my students see themselves represented in every aspect of learning.

I have an amazing group of third grade students who are excited to learn.

Everyday they enter the classroom with smiles on their faces excited about what the day will bring. These students come from diverse backgrounds with many of them just learning English for the first time.

This group of third grade students have been highly impacted by COVID. The last "normal" year of school was their kindergarten year. These students need engaging activities that will promote higher thinking and be independent.

My Project

It's all fun and games in third grade! These activities will help my third graders be excited about learning and fill-in the gaps from COVID. They can use the Versa tiles to work on literacy and math. The games promote higher level algebraic thinking. They can do all of this while having fun!

It's important that my students work hard to make up what has been missed during COVID.

I'd love for them to be able to work independently while having fun and learning. These are great activities to promote this type of learning.
