Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Video games provide a form of entertainment that allows people to unwind and escape from daily stressors. They can be a source of learning, entertainment, and relaxation.
Playing video games can enhance cognitive functions such as problem solving, critical thinking, and multi-tasking.
Certain genres, like puzzles and strategy games, are particularly effective in promoting these skills. Video games offer students hands-on experiential learning. Students learn by doing and can gain skills through experiential learning that might not be gained in traditional classrooms.
The PlayStation and Xbox consoles will be used to compete in friendly gameplay. Our students asked for games like NBA 2K25 and Minecraft. Minecraft is a very popular game within our school community. It helps with Applied Learning, where students are immersed in solving real-world challenges, collaborate effectively in teams, and adapt to unforeseen circumstances. Video games have also improved attention skills, brain processing, and eye-hand coordination.
