Learning can be exciting by creating fun foldables. I teach high school math including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus to nine through twelfth grade students. Our school consists of many low socioeconomic and migrant families.

Since many of our students come from low income families, buying supplies can be a huge burden for the families. Some families have up to five children for which they need to buy school supplies.

By having supplies such as colored paper, scissors, glue sticks, tape, staplers, rulers, and markers in class, a huge burden will be lifted from the parents of our students. Parents will be able to spend their money on buying clothing or other necessities their children may need. In addition, students can create wonderful foldables rather than just taking notes. Taking notes by creating a foldable is much more interesting for the students. It will increase their retention of the topic by making them actively participate.

You can make a huge difference with your donation not only for my students, but also for the parents of my students. The parents will be very appreciative of your generosity--the more supplies their children have access to at school, the less they will have to spend. In addition, my students will have fun, interesting ways of learning in class. These materials will prepare students for future studying at the college level by providing the students with a more individual way of ordering information.
