Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love art projects and crafts. The holidays are coming up and I want the month of December to be filled with Christmas and winter art projects. I would like my students to be immersed in holiday crafts - from snowmen ornaments to velvet coloring posters. Students will also be decorating a snowman frame for their parents. This would be a wonderful keepsake for their parents. I want this holiday to be extra special for them so they can bask in the joy of holiday cheer and create decorations for their classroom and homes.

Families also decorate a stocking at home together and bring it to the classroom to display.

Everyday for the month of December, I put a small treat or prize in the stockings for students to help motivate them to learn. For many students, they don't have the experience and joy of getting a surprise in their stockings. Justing looking at their little faces as they check their stockings in the morning is always the best way to start off the day. Your donation to our class project will bring joy and holiday spirit into my student's lives.
