My Students

I absolutely adore my first graders. Most of my students come to school just to be loved. You cannot teach students if you do not have a relationship with them first.

When they come to me, they are so eager to learn new things!

My students are always so sweet and loving. I make it so that they want to come to school each day to learn. Each year as they leave my classroom, they don’t want to go. They know they can always come to me for anything, and I will love them and help them no matter what!

My Project

I am requesting some fun, informational learning books and literacy station supplies. The books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy -- I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read.

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.

My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.

I also love doing small group, literacy stations with my students. Creating functioning, productive stations like this requires a lot of organization especially regarding how to store all of the materials in an easy to access way. The colorful storage boxes and a HUGE need to help us stay organized!

Thank you so much!
