This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My second-grade class has made some gains during the year, and we want to celebrate those successes. I would like to host a small celebration, before the end of the year, to encourage and take us into our end-of-the-year testing. I would like to supply them with small trinkets as well as end the year strong with the supplies we need to wrap up the year. Pencils are always needed, and we need to make sure our room is tidy after the treats. I want to make a calming and creative board for possible photos. Paper is to print superlatives and fun activities for the event.
I want to celebrate my students moving towards being scholars.
I want to encourage them as they move toward EOY testing and 3rd grade. Some of these students I have worked with since PreK4 and others I have worked with since Kindergarten, it has been a joy to watch their learning process and progress. I want them to know that they are valued and should be celebrated.
