My Students

I work at a Title I school where many of my students face challenges in their home lives. My students are tough and are learning more than just math when they come into my room. They learn that they are in charge of their learning.

My students take control of their learning and through hard work and dedication, achieve their goals.

The students in my room learn to be proud of themselves. They are hard workers despite their home challenges.

My Project

During our workshop time in math, my students are in control of their learning and choose what math skill they need to work on through the use of their data. I would love to take this a step farther by offering students different seating options for this time. Each student works differently and a change of seating can keep things fun and focused. Please help my students not be stuck in desks all day or sitting on old pillows on the floor. Wobble chairs and FitPro Balls can allow students to have a change of pace, making workshop time something to look forward to.
