My students need assorted resources to learn through hands on experiences, to assist the visual learner as well as challenge the on grade level learner.

My Students

What are some of your best elementary school memories? I bet it includes games and fun! I would like the opportunity to turn our classroom into "Fun Fridays"! With the help of some board games and books on tape our students can reinforce old skills, help introduce new ones and have some fun!

My class is a mixture of students that bring very different learning styles with them.

Students with disabilities range from low level readers who would benefit from books on tape to the English Language Learner who can be stimulated by the visual games. The class is very competitive and games have proved a great way to tap into their knowledge while introducing new concepts.

My Project

I have requested board games that will assist students in their vocabulary growth as well as writing and grammar. Board games that will assist the visual learner as well as challenge the on grade level learner. I have requested books on tape for those students that are challenged and require auditory assistance. These resources will give students an opportunity to explore education in a fun and exciting way!

This project is so important because the students in my class face challenges on a daily basis.

I have those that read 3 years below grade level, or English Language Learners who have difficulty in both their home language and English. I want to give every student an opportunity to play games with their peers and while doing so giving them an opportunity to learn. Learning should be fun! I want the opportunity to help these students end their fifth grade experience on a positive note!
