Fun and Engaging Materials Needed for Preschoolers!
My students need a pet vet clinic toy, a ramp racer race track, a Mr. Potato Head Silly Suitcase, play fruits and vegetables and tactile items to increase receptive, expressive and pragmatic language.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist in a low income school district. Many of my students do not have access to learning materials outside of the classroom. They do not have time for homework or extra reading when they leave school. I want to provide my students with the best and most creative learning opportunities possible.
I work primarily with preschoolers.
Receiving services with me may be their first exposure to literacy. Through place-based activities, I find vocabulary expansion to be vital and rewarding.
My Project
My preschool students need hands on learning experiences. When we learn new material, they need to see visuals and get hands-on experience with the material. Most of their learning is play-based.
All the materials and supplies I am requesting already have a purpose and lesson plan attached to them.
When using Mr. Potato Head, I can teach the students about their five senses. When we read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," I can pull out the fruits and vegetables that are included in this project to show the items the caterpillar is eating, and talk about the importance of health and nutrition. Board games, such as "Feed The Woozle" encourages and helps teach cooperative play skills which is important in a preschoolers' development. "Sensory items," and "fidget items," are highly motivating for those students who may be nonverbal. There items help them to learn how to make requests in a variety of ways; either verbally, learning and using American Sign Language (ASL), or picture exchange communication.
I focus on increasing my students' length of utterances and improving their articulation and phonology and receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language skills. I provide services in early intervention. I serve students in a variety of classrooms and settings. It would be ideal for me to provide each of the classrooms with materials to help students master the curriculum used not only by me, but by the other teachers and service providers. These materials will be used throughout this school year and for many more to come.
