My Students
My kindergartners have a love for learning. They love reading, interactive math, anything that is hands-on and are very active. My students are mostly Native American and come from diverse backgrounds.
Our school has a student population that includes ninety-five percent minorities.
One hundred percent of the students receive free or reduced price lunch (the school has a grant that covers this) and eighty-seven percent of students are from low-income families.
I love watching my students learn and their excitement when they learn something new. It is my passion to reach each student and have them succeed in school.
My Project
This school year will be new and different for both the students as well as myself. I want to give my students a variety of ways to learn and explore. I want them to be able to have hands-on experiences throughout their time in school. The magnet set, the fairy tale STEAM kit and the coding train will give my students this opportunity.
Kindergartners learn best through hands-on exploring and I want to be able to provide them with the tools.
I will be using the fairy tale STEAM kit to teach fairy tales and the extensions will be great for the students to get the hands-on exposure. The coding train, as well as the magnet set, will be a new activity for the students to be able to explore.
