Eager to learn, love technology and driven by problem-solving and critical thinking projects describes the scholars. Our elementary school is a small Title I school in rural Georgetown County that is truly a hidden gem. Our scholars are passionate about learning, but have limited in resources. Their desire is to be able to learn how to program and code beyond a computer. Giving them an opportunity to participate in STEAM activities that include Robotics is ideal, but resources are costly and funds are limited for STEAM resources.
Robotics has never been an option for my students. With the DASH Robot Class set my elementary school can fully implement STEAM FRIDAYS for every scholar in grades K-5. EVERY scholar will be immersed in activities that develop critical thing and problem-solving skills to prepare them to be college and career ready at an early age. Currently, basic textbook and in-class lessons are void of technology beyond Chromebooks, a staple in most classrooms. Students will have the option of Robotics infused into their daily curriculum, the opportunity to develop and compete with a Robot and have a Robotics Team to open a world of unscratched surface for exploration and career development focused on Coding.
With our small school size, we desire for EVERY scholar in our school, K-5 to experience the world of Robotics through the DASH Robot on STEAM Fridays.
DASH will be the perfect segway into Robotics for our scholars. This project will allow us to go FULL STEAM AHEAD!
