My Students

I work with a fantastic group of students! They come from many different kinds of backgrounds. They each bring something unique into my classroom. I have many bilingual students who bring great diversity to my classroom. Many of my students are limited in supplies and resources that they have at home.

We have so much fun getting to learn and grow together!

They come to school eager and excited to enter the classroom. My goal is to be able to provide as many supplies and resources that I can. I want to provide opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise get. I want my classroom to be a comfortable and organized learning environment to ensure all of my students feel safe and loved!

My Project

Students deserve every opportunity to explore and learn. My desire is to provide them with STEAM skills through beginning a photography club at my school.

Photography is more than just taking pictures; it's promoting creativity, learning critiquing skills, learning and improving technical skills, and spreading the love of photography and all things unique and beautiful.

This project will allow me to obtain 5 DSLR cameras for students to use and practice with. They will learn the ins and outs of photography. They will learn the art of photography and will learn responsibility. We will have many lessons including, the history of photography, exposure, camera settings, composition, lighting, posing, careers in photography, and editing.

The photos that students take throughout the year will be used to create a portfolio for each student and will be used to help create the school yearbook. My dream is to inspire students to come out of their shells to chase their dreams and follow their passions!
