My Students

I teach 44 fourth grade in a community school. I want them to have the opportunity this year to learn the standards in a hands on, minds on, engaging way. The students will create both academic and personal goals related to our math and science curriculum.

Many of my students have educational plans, in addition to their regular coursework, which entails individualized learning goals.

We will accomplish many of these goals through STEAM projects this year. These materials will help them in understanding and completing these projects, as well as designing their own.

My Project

These materials will help my students to understand the fourth grade science curriculum. Fourth grade students will be learning concepts related to Force and Motion, Earth in Space and Time, Changes in Matter, and Interdependence among others. These concepts are difficult to grasp from reading in a textbook, so working through investigations in small groups is an ideal approach.

Students will have the opportunity to innovate and collaborate to find solutions.

They will be able to do more than just work from a textbook. With these materials, they can experience the concepts. Later, they can work to take their learning to the next level and create their own experiments.
