My students need engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities to encourage a growth and love for these easily forgotten subjects.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are compassionate learners who are working to overcome great life obstacles. These students are working hard every day to become successful citizens of your world, but we need your help.
My school district provides all of the students with free breakfast and lunch to help meet their basic needs.
Providing my students with a safe, fun, organized classroom environment to fuel their passion for school is my ultimate goal. As the foundation of their learning journey, I want to see my students thrive and succeed.
My Project
My students need access to new seating, fresh markers, and most importantly, exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math education, also known as STEAM.
There is an understandable push for STEAM education in elementary schools to spark knowledge and excitement in these underserved subjects.
Having the STEM activities ready to go and manipulatives ready will create an easy, student led way to allow their brains to grow through play exposure.
The seating will help to create various areas of the classroom for the students to work in small groups. These small groups help develop teamwork and problem solving skills, ultimately preparing my students for a successful future.
