My Project

My students are incredibly motivated and understand the importance of their educational opportunities, but it is difficult to learn when you are hungry. Unfortunately, many of them face hunger every day and while the school supplies them with breakfast and lunch, it is not always enough. Add to that the fact that they are newcomers to the country and our school meals are quite foreign to them.

Becoming a proficient English speaker can seem nearly impossible when your belly is grumbling.

Because of this, I try to provide them with snacks that I know they like throughout the day. This helps them to maintain their attention and continue to work hard.

Their determination is inspiring, and it is my job to do all I can to support them on this journey. Thank you for helping me to do that.
