My Students

My students are inquisitive, unique, and curious little learners. They like to read and learn and are very expressive. Many of them are from single-parent homes with one or no working parents. While my students have no control over their families’ financial statuses, it should not ever be something that hinders them from being all they can be.

My young scholars are looking for motivation in everything they do, see, and are exposed to.

Some of the things and situations they have been exposed to are completely out of their control. I believe that with motivated teachers, data-based instruction, and the proper tools and motivation, the sky is the limit for every one of my students!

My Project

My students are eager and love to show their thinking. These cold and brutal winter months make it a little more difficult to warm up and share your ideas with your peers. Having soups, gum and snacks in class will help promote participation, focus and attention when my little guys are a little hungry or can't focus as much as they'd like to between breakfast and lunch time. It's nice to see a student focused and concentrated in class. I'd have no greater pleasure than walking by and giving them a little pick me up for leading by example. I want that type of mindset to be contagious and a funded project can help me make that happen.
